Sharing Your Information

We may share your information with:

  • FCA-Authorised Debt Advisors: when you ask us to refer you, we share your information with the FCA-authorised debt advice firm handling your referral, so they can provide professional debt advice.
  • Service Providers: We share limited information with providers who run parts of our service for us: website hosting, email delivery, Google Analytics (only if you accept optional cookies), and WhatsApp (Meta) if you choose to message us there.
  • Trustpilot: If you complete our assessment form, your email address is shared with Trustpilot so they can invite you to leave an independent review. The invitation is optional and we honour opt-outs.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

Your Rights

Under UK data protection laws (including UK GDPR), you have the following rights:

  • Right to Access: Request copies of your personal data

  • Right to Data Portability: Request transfer of your data to another organisation
  • Right to Object: Object to processing of your data in certain circumstances
  • Rights Related to Automated Decision Making: Not be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@halaldebtsolutions.co.uk. We respond within one month. For particularly complex requests the law allows up to two further months, and we will tell you if we need that extra time.

You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office, at ico.org.uk. We would welcome the chance to resolve any concern first.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We keep cookies to a minimum. The only optional cookies we use are Google Analytics cookies, which help us see which pages and features help people most so we can improve the site. They are set only if you accept them in the cookie banner shown on your first visit. If you decline, analytics never runs. We do not use advertising cookies, and Google Signals and ads personalisation are switched off. We also store one small setting in your browser whose only job is to remember your cookie choice.

You can change your mind at any time using the "Cookie choices" link in the footer of this website, which brings the banner back. Your choice is remembered for 12 months, and then we ask again.

Data Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as it is genuinely needed:

  • Enquiries and assessments: kept for up to 2 years after our last contact with you, then deleted or anonymised.
  • Records of referrals and payments: kept for 6 years, as required by UK tax and company law.
  • Analytics data: collected only with your consent and held in Google Analytics for no more than 14 months, then automatically deleted.

You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time (see Your Rights above).

Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
